Certified Nurse Aide (C.N.A.)

Apprentice Plumbing

Next Class: July 27 - September 4

6 weeks; Mon-Fri 9am-5pm; In Person

Learn foundational plumbing skills through practical, career‑focused training designed for entry into the trades.

Apprentice Electrical

Upcoming Dates: To be announced

Gain practical, in‑demand skills in low‑voltage electrical systems, including installation, wiring, and basic troubleshooting. This training prepares participants for entry‑level roles in construction, technology, and infrastructure industries.

Carpentry

Next Class: August 31 – October 9

6 weeks; Mon-Fri 9am-5pm; In Person

Applications Open: June 9

Build hands‑on carpentry skills and gain experience aligned with construction and skilled‑trade careers.

Forklift Certification

Applications Open: August 4

Course Length: One‑day certification

This short‑term certification offers flexible scheduling and prepares participants for forklift operation in a variety of work settings.

Who can apply for an Opportunity Center scholarship?
Applicants must be 18 years of age or older and possess a high school diploma or GED as
required for all Vocational Training courses, with the exception of Forklift training.

Are there location requirements?
Yes. Applicants must reside in a qualifying ZIP code. Proof of residency is required.

Are there any income restrictions?‍ ‍
Yes. Services are provided for individuals living below the Federal Poverty Level.

Can I apply if I have a criminal background?
Yes. Program eligibility is determined on a case-by-case basis and certain backgrounds could impact
eligibility for certain training courses.

Do I need to pass screenings?
Yes. Applicants must be able to pass a background check and drug screen.

Do I need work authorization?
Yes. Applicants must be authorized to work in the United States.

Is English proficiency required?
Yes. Applicants must be able to speak and write in English.
