Thank You Volunteers

For our thanksgiving distribution, 1400 families received Thanksgiving meals, with hundreds more registered to receive a holiday meal in time for Christmas. For both Thanksgiving and Christmas meal distribution, each client family receives a full holiday meal, complete with turkeys, produce, and nonperishable items that include cake mix and canned goods that can be used for traditional holiday sizes: pumpkin, cranberry, green beans, stuffing and more.

How is NAM able to provide the blessing of food to thousands of families for the holidays? In addition to the blessing of donated resources, the blessing of time given by hundreds of volunteers is what makes these holiday distribution events possible. Starting in October, dozens of volunteers came to NAM each week to build holiday boxes.

Individuals giving their time, corporate groups, congregations and students fulfilling their service hours came by Monday - Saturday, steadfastly working to build anywhere from a few dozen to a few hundred meals boxes every day.

Corporate groups included World Market, CWS Apartments, Exxon Mobile, Gexa Energy

Students from West Field High School, Klein Forest High School, Klein Oak, Carl Wunsche Senior High, Westfield High School, and Dekaney High School chose NAM to fulfil their student service hours.

The Church of Jesus Christ of Later-day Saints sent in a group with members of the Klein Stake, Tomball Stake and Woodland Stake Congregations.

We were honored to host faculty, staff, students and their families for the Spring ISD Day of Caring! They built over 1000 boxes in a single day.

NAM would not be able to feed all families registered without the dedication of these volunteers. We are so thankful to each and every volunteer for their gift of time !
