Giving Tuesday is quickly approaching!
Giving Tuesday was created in 2012 as a simple idea: a day that encourages people to do good. Over the past seven years, it has grown into a global movement that inspires hundreds of millions of people to give, collaborate, and celebrate generosity.
Whether it’s making someone smile, helping a neighbor or stranger out, showing up for an issue or people we care about, or giving some of what we have to those who need our help, every act of generosity counts and everyone has something to give.
This year, when you give at the Donate button on NAM's Facebook page on December 3, your gift will have double the impact when it is matched by Facebook. No amount is too small to make a difference in the lives of our neighbors in need! So don't forget to mark your calendar and visit NAM on Facebook, click on the "Donate" button on the page and help NAM this holiday season!
NAM is active on 4 social media platforms. Whichever platform you utilize most frequently, we ask that you repost our content, and ask your friends and family to donate. For contributions to be matched on Giving Tuesday, ALL donations must be made through either the Facebook or Instagram donation buttons.
- For Instagram, you can repost our content on your Instagram stories, and add a “Donation” sticker to your story. Instagram has preset donation amounts starting at $5. No amount is too small!
- For Facebook, LinkedIn and twitter, simply repost or share our content using those platforms’ Sharing buttons. Feel free to add a personal message in: encouraging your friends and family to support the organization you are passionate about, inviting them to join this global movement of giving - and how their donation will support basic and emergency human needs. ANY amount they give will help, as it will be matched when they donate through facebook and instagram on Giving Tuesday, December 3, 2019.

You can also help NAM by just sharing your story. Every act of giving has a story. What's yours? If you share your giving story you could win up to $10,000 for NAM! Just visit https://mygivingstory.givingtuesday.org right now and submit your essay. You have the option to include an image or a video with your story too. Once you have entered, make sure to share your story on social media and encourage your friends and family to vote as often as possible until December 10th. When sharing your story on social media, be sure to use the hashtag #MyGivingStory. The more you share, the more votes you'll get, and you could win!
