Northwest Assistance Ministries Celebrates Opening of New Resale Store

Northwest Assistance Ministries (NAM) celebrated the opening of its new Resale store, located at 15702 Bammel Village Drive on the first floor of The Harrell Family Opportunity Center, on Friday, November 3. The grand opening was an all-day affair, beginning with a ribbon-cutting ceremony in the morning and followed by fun family festivities in the afternoon.

The Houston Northwest Chamber joined NAM staff and volunteers for the morning ribbon-cutting ceremony at 10 a.m. just as the doors opened to welcome the day’s shoppers. Special grand-opening sales beckoned throughout the day, and in the afternoon the celebration continued with music, food, raffle and door prizes.

NAM’s former resale store, Treasures of the Heart, located at the corner of 1960 and Kuykendahl will remain open as a “Holiday Shop,” selling seasonal items and holiday décor through December 8, or until all merchandise has been liquidated.

“We invite all of our customers and donors – new and loyal – to stop in and see what surprises and deals can be found at both stores,” said NAM’s Deputy Director/COO, Erin Broussard. “At NAM Resale, your good buys do good deeds!”

Proceeds from NAM Resale contribute more than $1 million annually to supporting NAM’s programs and services.

Northwest Assistance Ministries is a non-profit, community-based social service agency that strives to meet basic human needs through Neighbors Helping Neighbors.
