National Day of Prayer Virtual Ceremony

National Day of Prayer is held on the first Thursday of May. Several million people from different faiths are called to pray together. On Thursday, May 7 at 8 a.m. NAM and the Ministerial Alliance in support of Spring ISD held a National Day of Prayer Virtual Ceremony.

Due to COVID-19, and keeping the practice of social distancing in mind, NAM and the Ministerial Alliance in support of Spring ISD came up with a safe way to gather and pray together. Thanks to technology, members from various congregations within our community logged into a virtual meeting group to come together for National Day of Prayer.

From the safety of their homes, more than 50 community leaders prayed for our health workers, frontline workers. and teachers. They said a prayer for police officers, firefighters, those suffering during this unprecedented health concern, and individuals they felt needed the power of prayer.

Thank you to everyone who joined the virtual ceremony to celebrate National Day of Prayer with us. No matter what religion or faith you identify with, use this day to reflect and say a prayer in your own way.
