NAM Receives Winner of Distinction Award from the Better Business Bureau

Northwest Assistance Ministries received a Winner of Distinction Award from the Better Business Bureau at the BBB’s Awards for Excellence luncheon on May 13.  This is the seventh year in a row that NAM has been recognized by the BBB for service excellence. In 2010, NAM was honored with the BBB Pinnacle Award.

The BBB Awards for Excellence recognize businesses and non-profits for their achievements and commitment to overall excellence and quality in the workplace. Proceeds from the event help fund the BBB Education Foundation which educates consumers about scams and fraudulent business practices in the Greater Houston area.

“To be consistently recognized for excellence by the BBB is a great honor,” said Carole Little, President & CEO of NAM. “Our volunteers and staff give their best every day, and I’m so proud of all they do to make a difference for our Neighbors in Need.”

Northwest Assistance Ministries is a non-profit, community-based social service agency that strives to meet basic human needs through Neighbors Helping Neighbors. NAM provides assistance in areas such as food, shelter, health, education, safety, and financial education. In fiscal year 2013-2014, NAM touched the lives of more than 131,000 people through its many programs and services.
