NAM Honors Volunteers

Northwest Assistance Ministries took time to recognize one of our most valuable assets; our volunteers. On Thursday, April 20th, NAM welcomed over 300 of our closest friends to lunch at Shirley Acres. It was the annual Volunteer Appreciation Luncheon.

"NAM would not be NAM without our volunteers, and we can’t say thank you enough to everyone who showed up and helped make today’s event such a wonderful success. We appreciate every single volunteer we’ve had walk through the doors of NAM over the last 40 years." Said NAM President & CEO, Les Cave.

NAM used the occasion to recognize 5 chapters of the National Charity Leagues that serve NAM by naming them the Paula & Mark Stoebner Volunteer of the Year Award Winners for 2023. The five chapters honored were NCL Champions, NCL Cypress Creek, NCL Cypress Belles, NCL Yellow Roses and the NCL Wildflowers.

Following the award ceremony, the audience was entertained by the Spring High School Jazz Ensemble under the direction of Mr. JD Guzman. NAM was also presented with a  Proclamation from Pct. 3 Commissioner Ramsey's office. The entire crowd broke into Happy Birthday as  a giant 9 foot long 40th Anniversary Cake was presented to honor NAM's 40th Anniversary.

Last year more than 3,400 volunteers served at NAM to help provide programs and services to over 122,000 clients.
