NAM Food Fair Feeds Families in Need

On Friday, March 12, 2021, NAM held its first Food Fair of the year! Through our partnership with the Houston Food Bank, we provided groceries, which included fresh fruit and vegetables, to 800 families in need.

With the help of our dedicated volunteers, NAM set up two lines of traffic that allowed cars to enter the parking lot in front of the Joanne Watford Nutrition Center. In a drive-through system, fruit, water, milk, bread, and other foods were placed into vehicles. Our neighbors in need also received free blankets, batteries, and pet food for their furry family members.

Thank you to the Houston Humane Society who donated 3 pallets of cat & dog food to NAM. Also, thank you to Helping Hands for donating the handmade quilts and warm blankets. We would also like to give special thanks to all of our volunteers who donated their time to help NAM serve our community.
