Dear Joanne, when I think of you, what comes to mind

Is a loving, caring friend - forever kind.

Soft spoken, pure of heart and always sweet,

Speaking a kind word to all you would meet.

So quietly unassuming and willing to help in any way

It’s hard to recall how many times you made my day.

Your family was your greatest joy,

You often spoke of your favorite girl and fun loving boy,

And on those times we worked side by side,

It was easy to sense your heart filled with love and pride.

Now grown and out in the world making their way,

Carrying your loving lessons with them each and every day.

Your strong sense of right and wrong,

Your generous compassion for those less fortunate and not as strong.

This is the side of you we often saw,

Your generous nature left us in awe.

We thank you, Dear Joanne, for the greatest gift.

That of truly modeling a life well lived.

The Lord has called you home today, your work has ended.

Know always, you will remain in the hearts of those you loved and befriended.
