Gifts of Bequests, Retirement Assets and Life Insurance Policies
These gifts offer donors the opportunity to leave a legacy for NAM and enjoy tax benefits, without affecting their current cash flow.

Food Donations
These items are distributed through NAM's Food Pantry and are always welcome, though especially needed during the summer and holidays in November and December.

Donate clothing, furniture, and household items
These donations are used extensively throughout the entire NAM organization; some donated items are distributed to our clients who have been interviewed in Assistance and other programs, and many items are sold through NAM's three resale shops.

Turn your car into cash for NAM
You can donate your car, trailer, or boat to NAM through our relationship with V-DAC (Vehicle Donation to any Charity). The vehicle does not have to be in running condition.  V-DAC will assign your vehicle to a local auto auction company, that will pick up your vehicle and sell it at auction.  The proceeds from the auction will go to NAM, and V-DAC will send you a tax receipt for the sales amount. To schedule your vehicle pickup, call 1-877-999-8322. Remember to tell them that you want the proceeds to go to NAM. If you have additional questions, call NAM at 281-885-4605.

Donate your car to a NAM client
Some vehicles are donated to clients for their use in going to and from work, family transportation, etc. Such items must be in good working condition. To make a vehicle donation to a client, call Debbie at 281-885-4526 or Karen at 281-885-4575.

Medical supplies and equipment
These contributions benefit the patients seen in The Children's Clinic at NAM. Medical supplies, generic pharmaceuticals, children's toys and books, and other related items contribute to the overall comfort of the families who use these services.

Housing Partnerships
two (2) programs within NAM directly benefit from this type of donation -- the Family Violence Center and Interfaith Hospitality Network. Resources are always needed to provide emergency safe housing for abused women and children, as well as displaced families; temporary placement in unsold hotel or motel rooms is ideal until permanent housing can be found for our needy neighbors. Clients spend the day at NAM where they take advantage of the day centers and Assistance services available through these two programs.

Cots, beds, linens, air mattresses, personal toiletries, and hairbrushes
These items benefit the adults and children who have been taken in by the Assistance program, the Family Violence Center, and Interfaith Hospitality Network. These contributions could mean the difference between a long night spent on the floor and a good night's sleep on something comfortable. The personal care items improve feelings of self-worth, feelings that may have been damaged through unexpected changes in lifestyle.

Gift Certificates
Buy gift certificates for all your purchases at Randall's, Macy's, and Luby's from participating congregations, NAM's Corner Resale Shop or NAM's Business Office.  They buy you the same amount of food or merchandise as any other form of payment, and NAM  makes a few bucks because we buy them at a discount from the stores.

Grocery Store Cards
Link your Randall's card at the Customer Service Counter to NAM's ID number (515) to identify NAM as your nonprofit organization.  Each time you shop, have the cashier scan your card, and NAM will receive a percentage of your purchase as a refund from the store.  And, it won't cost you anything!  Get your card at participating stores.

For Kroger shoppers, first purchase a Gift Card for $1 at NAM.  Purchase additional cash value to be loaded onto the card at Kroger's Customer Service Counter.  Use the Gift Card to make your purchases and NAM will receive 5% of the total spent.  Additional value can be reloaded onto the card at Kroger's as necessary and NAM will continue to receive 5% each time you use the card.

NAM does NOT give, rent or sell donor information to businesses or other organizations. Your information is used to keep you informed on NAM activities by mail, phone and email.  If you prefer NOT to receive such material, please contact the Development Department at 281-885-4605.

Addresses, phone numbers, e-mail addresses, contribution amounts, credit card numbers and other types of donor information are kept confidential.  We may publish the names of donors in NAM’s newsletter, on our website or other NAM publications.  If you do NOT wish to have your name published, please contact us at the phone number or email address listed above.
