DESCRIPTION:
Provides excellent customer service by obtaining or receiving merchandise, totaling bill, accepting payment, and making change for customers in retail store; assists in the sorting and processing of merchandise in the processing center as needed; assists in the pricing and merchandising of inventory on the sales floor by performing the following duties.

• Accepts items from donors offering assistance to unload vehicle and provide receipt of donations. Able to load items purchased into customer’s vehicles. 
• Sorts and places materials or items on racks, shelves, or in bins according to predetermined sequence such as size, type, style, color, or product code. Sort, stamps, marks, or tags priceon merchandise according to store guidelines.
• Stocks shelves, kiosks, showcases, or tables with merchandise as needed according to store merchandising guidelines.
• Assists in merchandising furniture area and writing tickets for customer purchase. Answers customer's questions concerning location, price, and use of merchandise.
• Assists in maintaining store appearance by ensuring cleanliness and tidiness on a daily basis by following our routine daily store maintenance procedures for cleaning; shelves, counters, tables, kiosks, showcases as needed, sweeping, mopping, emptying trash, and utilizing our trash compactor as needed.
• Observe all guidelines and procedures for the safe operation of our trash compactor.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS
High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or one to three months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

SKILLS
The employee must frequently lift and/or move up to 50 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 100 pounds.
